Walnut Elementary School: Academic Excellence for All in a Safe, Enriching Environment

We Meet Students’ Academic Needs & Passions

All of our students participate in focused, small group instruction each day during  Target Time. Additional credentialed teachers work with our classroom teachers to ensure each student receives a "just right" fit—whether that’s extra support, grade-level practice, or academic enrichment.

Small class sizes ensure all students receive the support they need to achieve academic success:

• In grades K-3, our average class size is 21 students
• Five additional credentialed teachers support student academic intervention and enrichment
• Kindness Certified School 2018-2023
• GATE (Gifted and Talented Education)
• English Language Development
• Character Development and Social-Emotional Learning for all students 
• After-School Expanded Learning Program for qualifying students (TEAM Walnut)
• On-site child care is available to students from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. (based on availability)
